     The proposal

Sorry - I know this is the wrong category to ask this question, but maybe you can help me anyway now that you have already been through the proposal bit:)

I'm going to propose to my girlfriend on Tuesday when she arrives in the airport, but since I'm Danish, I'm not familiar with the tradition of proposing on your knees.

How excactly do you do it-do you go down on both knees? And after you say "will you marry me", do you get up and put the ring on her finger, or how does it work?

I just want it to be perfect - she knows how it should be, but it would be awkward to ask her:)

Thank you

Henrik

Dear Henrick:

How sweet that you want everything to be just right.

In regard to the knee issue, it is customary to get down on one knee.

There is no real "right" way to propose; just do what is in your heart and what feels right. It will all come to you when you do it.
