My wedding is at 3pm and the reception will start at 4pm and probably last til around 8 because we are having a DJ for dancing. We are serving a buffet of very heavy hors d'oeuvres to include a fruit and cheese display, sweet and sour meatballs, bite-size prime rib croissants, stuffed mushrooms, chicken tenders, a grilled asparagus tray, tea sandwiches (chicken salad, ham salad, turkey salad), spinach dip w/ crackers, and bite-size twice baked potatoes. We are also having a pasta station with 2 kinds of pasta, 2 choices of sauce, various veggies and 3 meat choices. MY QUESTION: Is this a substantial enough menu of food for the time span in which it is being served?

This sounds like enough. But I would have to defer to your caterer as the job to making sure sufficient amounts are available for the duration truly falls with him/her/them. Rhonda Allen, Bridal Consultant New Beginnings Weddings
