     Time between Ceremony and Reception

I am starting to plan my wedding for June 24, 2006 and am wondering what time is the best for a saturday wedding? I was thinking about having the ceremony at 1 and then reception at 4, but is that too long between times? What is a good length between the two events?

Dear Time Between,

Please don't allow so much time between the ceremony at 1, have your reception begin around 2 unless there is a tremendous distance between the locations. Your guests will not have anything to do for that 3 hours.

If you're having a Catholic mass you'll need 45 to 55 minutes for the ceremony. Then allow travel time from the church to the receotion venue.
