I have two questions, not sure if I posted it in the right forum.
1) What is an appropriate travel distance for guests to travel between the ceremony and reception?
2) Is it appropriate to have 1 hour in between ceremony and reception? What is too long?
Thanks!

Re: [emartin336] Travel Distance and Wait Time between both
[In reply to]
While there is no magic time limit for travel between a ceremony and reception, the comfort of of the guests should be in mind when selecting these locations.
For instance, in this case, some guests will arrive to the ceremony early, others will be right on time. All sit through the wedding only to be asked afterward to travel another hour to the reception. Then, once they get to the reception, they will probably have to wait on the bride and groom to arrive. Many guests will not have eaten for a few hours and this gap in between events will prove to be a bit stressful for some.
Whenever possible, I recommend that a ceremony and reception site be no more than 30 minutes apart. I have seen many a wedding guest list in this situation drop significantly because guests get lost, they get hungry and eat before arriving to the reception late and/or full, or they plain old get going - somewhere else.
