     Wedding aisle silence.

Any suggestions on how to make the footsteps of the wedding party down the aisle quiet? Thw wedding is set in a very significant chapel on a prestigous university campus. The flooring is quite gorgeous, but footsteps are quite loud during the processional/recessional. How does one mute the sound of footsteps without creating insecure footing in slippery new shoes?

This really isn't going to be a problem since the processional/recessional takes place with music playing. The bride may also choose to have an aisle runner laid and that too will mask the noise of the footsteps.

As for slippery shoes, a good idea is simply to have slip pads attached to the bottom portion of the shoe.

Cheers!

Yes, also, when there are people in the building the bodies will hep to absorb some of the sound.
