     Wedding date conflict

Because of religious holidays and both kids and parents schedules (second marriage for both groom and bride, both with kids) only one date is available in immediate future. This is a Sunday plan BUT on the day before (Saturday) one of grooms best male friends girlfriend is having a Bar Mitzvah for her son. Invites are not out yet but we’ve been told to save date. Not having wedding the next day would delay it for unknown amount of months. Of all of both grooms and brides invitees, no other would be attending the Bar Mitzvah so the only people affected are bride, groom, friend and friend’s girlfriend (son was not planned to be invited to wedding as we hardly know and only closest of friends & relatives are being invited). So, even though bride and groom could make Bar Mitzvah and friend & his date could make wedding next day, how terrible is this arrangement?

Well, this is a totally personal decision. How close a friend is this? Are you really putting them out? Are you making the day before your own wedding too hectic? Weigh the pros and cons and make your decison after considering all of this information.
