My fiance and I have been trying to find a place for our wedding. Yesterday we looked up places online and drove around ALL DAY looking. Half of the ones we found were shut down or either looked like they should be. The other half were so small that they wouldn't hold the number of people we need room for. We live in Columbia, South Carolina right now. Our only preference as far as location goes is that it isn't too far away (several hours away), but we wouldn't even mind if it wasn't in SC. We have family coming from all over, so either way someone is going to have to drive. We are really wanting to married on a plantation. Just somewhere BIG (we're having 250 guests) and beautiful. We don't want anything too commercial. We found one place yesterday that had a gas station maybe 10 feet infront of it!!! Not cute!! Do you know of any websites or anything that would have more ideas? Or do you know of anything that we could consider?? Also, we wouldn't mind it being a church... if it was big enough... and very elegant looking.
