     banning people from reception

my question is that I was invited to a wedding that is taking place August 14, 2004 and my boyfriend got the invitation for him only to go , but I was not invited to go and the bride knows that we live together and , my biggest question is that she did not say that I could not go to the church, That is an open invitation right. She did not meantion, I could not go to the church only the hall?

what is the answer here?

Dear Banning,

I'm sorry that you were excluded. However, an invitation is just that--an invitation inviting those the host wants to attend said function. You were not invited to the wedding. Please do not crash it.

Sincerely,
Rebecca Black, Etiquette Now
