     choosing countries

I am from California and my Fiance is from Sydney, Australia. We are trying to decide where to hold our wedding/ reception. We both would like our family and friends to be included but realize that either of these locations would exclude many people on one side or the other. How do we decide where to hold the wedding? Or would it be appropriate to have more than one wedding? Or one ceremony and two receptions, in which case which location should the ceremony be held in?

Thank you

Hello there,

It is traditional for the wedding to take place in the bride's locality. It is very common for the groom's family to travel to the ceremony location.
