     wedding 5 months away

My wedding is 5 months away and I may be pregnant I am on the pill so it is not like I did not use protection. I do not know what we should do? Has anyone ever dealt with this? I ordered my dress a few weeks ago and we have been engaged for 2 years this Christmas. Would it be wrong to change the date or to go on with the wedding? Please help with a suggestion.

Hello Dora,

Your dilemma is not unique. The worse thing you could do is change the date of your wedding and inconviencing your family and guests who no doubt are already planning on your date 5 months away. This would mean reserving the same venue and vendors you already have in place. You could also lose your deposits if the vendor can't accommodate the new date.

If you are pregnant, the dress will be your main issue and you mentioned ordering it but not what style. Many dresses can conceal a 5 month bulge with the proper alterations. Relax and find out if in fact, you are pregnant and deal with it from there. If you are then you can work with the dress dilemma as needed.

Congratulations on both the wedding and the baby! Keep the wedding date the same and just have the wedding dress altered to better suit you at that time.
Best wishes for a wonderful marriage and family!
