     rehearsal dinner

hi, what is the proper way to invite people to the rehearsal dinner? is it necessary to send out invitations? our wedding is in my hometown, so we will have a number of my fiance' friends and family staying at hotels. is it proper to place a note in their room saying "join us at so and so for the rehearsal dinner..." some of the guests are not in the weddding party, but are close friends of my family and/or my fiance's folks who we feel should be invited.

what is the proper way to invite the priest who is marrying us?

thanksSmile

Dear Beccaco,

Your invitations to the rehearsal dinner can be verbal, email, phone calls. And please do invite the priest in the same manner.

I have been invited to rehearsal dinners by written formal invitation, by telephone and by e-mail. When the dinner is at a restaurant and they are counting heads, there was usually a written invitation with an rsvp date.

Do what works best for you, but most of all, enjoy yourselves!
