     Autumn Roads Theme Favors

My October wedding theme is autumn roads. First marriage for us both although we are both now 40..in short, we traveled many roads to find one another. :) My question....

Colors are copper, brick red and mustard. I've found stunning copper lanterns (approx. 8" high) as favors. I'll also light them with battery operated candles. I plan to place these on a front table with the guest frame they'll be signing with tags that read "May the path of your life be lit by love", their names & table number. As every single guest is part of a married couple, I want to give one lamp per couple. (These are rather expensive.)

I know that EACH guest should get a favor. And as my fiance loves M&M's we also plan to get custom candies (with our names on them) for the occasion which I'll put in small copper bags at each place setting.

My question is, will the candy favors suffice as a favor for each guest our should we really just get a lantern for each guest as well?

Thank you in advance for your advice and comment.

Favors are optional so any favor you provide is generous. If you're sure that all guests are a part of a couple then giving the lanterns, one per couple, is fine. If there are any singles they should obviously receive their own lantern.

Sounds sweet...
