     Band CD as wedding Favor

I love your website it has been so useful in my planning.

I am having a destination wedding with a reception one week after we return from our honeymoon. I am having my band (concert/marching band) play for part of our reception - mostly the cocktail hour and the bridal party entrance. I want to have our wedding favors as a CD of the music the band will be playing that day. Everyone was for it, but now my mom wants to add more wedding favors (candy, etc). I don't see a need for this. Is the wedding music CD enough? Or do I need other favors?

By the way, I know the band is nontraditional but they mean alot to me and music has been apart of my life since I was old enough to play. The band is fantastic and they are going to play ballads, big band pieces, show tunes, etc. I think people willlove it. We have a DJ for the rest of the party.

Any favor is a generous gift and totally optional. Your CD is a neat favor idea but if you mom wants to add more favors, and she's willing to pay for them, then why not let her have her fun? Smile
