I love your website it has been so useful in my planning.
I am having a destination wedding with a reception one week after we return from our honeymoon. I am having my band (concert/marching band) play for part of our reception - mostly the cocktail hour and the bridal party entrance. I want to have our wedding favors as a CD of the music the band will be playing that day. Everyone was for it, but now my mom wants to add more wedding favors (candy, etc). I don't see a need for this. Is the wedding music CD enough? Or do I need other favors?
By the way, I know the band is nontraditional but they mean alot to me and music has been apart of my life since I was old enough to play. The band is fantastic and they are going to play ballads, big band pieces, show tunes, etc. I think people willlove it. We have a DJ for the rest of the party.
Any favor is a generous gift and totally optional. Your CD is a neat favor idea but if you mom wants to add more favors, and she's willing to pay for them, then why not let her have her fun? Top Wedding Questions Forum Moderator - "Write your sorrows in the sand, your blessings in stone".
