     Fall wedding ideas for favors

I am getting married October 2, 2004 - we are having candy apples as our wedding favors - I am looking for a way to display them?? thinking of using them as table centerpieces instead of flowers - any ideas for fall weddings?

Here is an entire page of ideas for Autumn weddings:

Candy apples wrapped in clear celophane with beautiful fall colored ribbon would be nice. Use a gold permanent marker to add your guests name and use as a place card holder. Adorn the ribbon with some small gold fall ornaments like leaves.

Hollow out small pumpkins and apples and insert tea candles to add a festive ambiance.

Yummy, candy apples... can I come to your wedding. Perhaps you could bundle them together( apple side down) with a ribbon and place them on a small mirror... and place a few votive candles on the table as well as some faux leaves.

Or bundle them and tie them together ( stick side down) and then buy a styrofoam ring that you get a craft stores and attach faux leaves, small berried etc to it.... and place the apples in the center of the ring so they would stand up... then add some small votives to the tables as well.

I hope that made sense...

Hi,

I am having my wedding in October as well and I was thinking of having candy apples as wedding favors. I was wondering if you are making them or if you are buying them? If you are buying them, where from? If you are making them, do you have a recipe?

Also, I saw your post about your bridemaids dresses. I am having my bridesmaids wear blue and brown... Which I think is way cool so go ahead and do the lilac with brown-I think it would look lovely!

Candy Apples as Wedding Favors for an Autumn wedding sounds great. Here are a few links to recipes for making candy apples.

Hi

I am buying my apples at a local candy store in NJ - wrapped in cellophane with a lavender bow they are $2.00 per apple. Needless to say they are not the big fancy ones - they are dipped in caramel and peanuts though.

Hi Michelle

We were married on October 2 and it was wonderful!

We bought our apples at Brummer's in Westfield - they did a really nice job and they fit our budget!

Good luck
