     Placement of favors

I got metal wine stoppers w/ hearts on them as favors for my guests. There aren't enough for one per person, so is it okay to place them on the tables at every other seat? I think the guests will get the idea that it is one per couple. How should I do this? I don't want to put them in a basket with a note "one per couple"

This is the reason we tell brides if they are using favors be sure to get enough so that you have one per guest. What happens to guests who are single, or who do not live together? How do they decide who gets the favor? It would be better if you could, at least, get one favor per couple and enough favors to give each single guest their own favor. Then you might be able to add a nice tag with the name(s) of the recipient.

I agree that each guest should receive one.
