     Too many favors?

I was wondering if this sounded like it is too much.

I am having small bottled water with our names & wedding date on the label (outside ceremony in Aug.), bubbles with our names stamped on the ribbons and heart fan programs for the ceremony. I have 4 kids ranging from 4 to 10 handing this stuff out.

The reception I have "kids bags" which include a wedding coloring book that is personalized with my FH and my name's in it. The bag also contains coloring crayons, glow in the dark bracelets (the ones you snap and then they glow), stickers, rings and other little things for them to "dress up" and keep them occupied while waiting for food and the music to start. For the adults I have champagne glasses filled with chocolate kisses and silver and red confetti stringy stuff (This is more a decoration as well). Then I also have votive candles with our names on a label around them and they are put in a red colored sheer bag with satin ribbon tied at the top which is more of the favor to bring with them. Is this too much? Is the kids bags to much? I love kids and our family is large with lots of kids (about 50), so I thought it would be cute to have a favor just for them. I just don't want it to look like I went overboard. I have a personalizing business, so it wasn't that expensive for me to do. Just don't want it to look like it is too much. I also have personalized napkins, matches and coasters. The wedding guest list is around 400 if that matters. The centerpieces are roses and calla lilies in a vase in the middle and then on each side there is two globes filled with water crystals and a candle.

Too much?

Any thoughts would be appreciated?

Also something off the topic...My wedding is on August 27th, when should I send the invites (I already have them)?

Wow...400 guests for an outdoor wedding...now that's a lot!

You sound like you've thought of everything with regard to the kids and I wouldn't really consider the kid's "fun bags" as favors but more of a "keep them occupied activity" so I think you're fine with what you have.

Your invitations are to be sent 6 weeks before the wedding.

There is 400 invited, 300 to 350 will probably show up. Only the ceremony is outdoors and about 200 will show up for that. The reception is in a reception hall, not outdoors.

Thanks for your response.

Indoors or out; this is still a lot of guests to entertain! It will be difficult for you and your groom to get around to greet every guest so consider attaching a short note to the favors too.

I think you should be prepared for more to come to the ceremony though, just to be on the safe side. Unless you have an RSVP just for the ceremony there isn't any real way to know for sure. Many times you'll get back an affirmative response but the guests come just to the reception rather than attending the ceremony (which IS the wedding in my opinion!).
