     BYOB

My groom to be & I have agreed on serving beer, wine, & champagne at our reception. Is it tacky to imply (by word of mouth) that BYOB is acceptable? Also, the wedding party will most likely be drinking liquor.

It would be impolite to ask your guests to bring their own alcoholic beverage.

Anything you serve to your wedding party should also be offered to your guests.

I agree.

It would be very inappropriate to ask your guests to bring alcohol.
