     Divorced parents of the bride

I am the Mother of the bride. Her father and I have both remarried. Who would be announced first at the reception? Who would be seated closest to the bridal table? What I want to know is, do either of us have top billing at her wedding? We do not wish to sit at the same table.

The mother of the bride gets top billing in this instance. She would be seated at the ceremony on the first row with your family and friends on the balance of the 1st row and 2nd row. The father is seated on the 3rd row with his new family, etc. The mother is announced first with her new husband. It follows all the way through the invitation wording.

Absolutely. The mother definitely gets top billing right after the couple.
