My fiance and I are hoping for an evening reception at a local orchard. The hours are such that it would have to be in the evening, but I'd like to use their cafe for the food. It's a very small, casual reception. They have delicious and creative sandwiches. My concern is that it's not appropriate to have sandwiches as an entree choice for an evening reception, even if it is casual. I'd really like to stick with the orchard theme though as we're having apple cider, fried fruit pies, candied apples for dessert and I'm trying to weave in other local items.
My ultimate goal is to be small, intimate, a little bit country, but not tacky.

Your menu choice would dictate that it be an informal wedding. Sandwiches can be used for the entree as long as salads and fruit are offered as well. Stay with a very informal and casual dress and invitations to follow through on this theme. Nancy Tucker President of Weddings Beautiful US http://www.weddingsbeautiful.com
