Feeding wedding guests appetizers before the reception?
Our ceremony is at 4pm with the reception beginning at 5.30, and dinner being served at 7. Do we really need to feed the guests appetizers before the dinner? This will add a huge amount to our costs as the hotel only has a fixed cost for appetizers and we will either have to pay the whole amount or not have them at all.

What you have to look at is that based on your timeline, you are in essence asking guests to wait three hours before they are served a meal. Ask yourself how you would feel if you were a guest in this situation.
When planning a wedding, couples should remember that part of their responsiblity is to consider their guests comfort, not just cost. So, yes, you should provide something to them in the interim between events. Rhonda Allen, Bridal Consultant New Beginnings Weddings
