Formal reception for a destination wedding?

My fiance and I are having a very small destination wedding, we are thinking 20 in total with our attendants and ourselves included. Our wedding is for 6.30pm, and I am unsure what kind of reception have? I really want to have a traditional recdeption with dances, but I think the dinning room at the resort may be too small. The resort has offered us use of a large bonfire on the beeach on the night of our wedding, but I feel this may be a little to informal. Any suggestions?

Thank you!

I would work with the venue to come up with a plan. Your group is small and they could provide space by removing some furniture from an area to provide the dance floor.

Isn't my crowd a little to small to do a more formal reception with the dancing though? Are there other ideas I could do?

Thank you
