I have decided not to have a bouquet or garter toss since we have mostly kids and married couples. I love the dance that gives the couple married longest the bouquet. However, I'm worried that the dance will greatly sadden 3 widows that will be there. Two of which were fairly recent. Do you have any suggestions as to what we can do? Also, who's bouquet is given away? Is it mine that I will use in the ceremony or is there a special one made just for the toss? Last but not least, since I'm not tossing the garter do I still have to wear one?
You don't have to wear a garter - that's your choice.
Teddy Bear Toss Instead of including young children in the bouquet and garter toss, let them have a Teddy Bear Toss. It is very kind of you to consider everyone's feelings. Top Wedding Questions Forum Moderator - "Write your sorrows in the sand, your blessings in stone".
