Groom in Wheelchair - First Dance?

Fiance' is in a wheel chair. When we go out with friends to dance, I usually sit on his lap for the slow songs. Is this appropriate for our first dance? Advice Please?

Dear Wyomingluv,

As long as you are sitting "side-saddle" you should be fine. You could always skip the dances all together too. All of that is optional--speeches, dances... etc.

Best wishes,
