     Help for the clueless bride

I'm getting married in Oct. It's an evening wedding/ reception. I have decided on navy for the bridesmaid dresses. Do I need to incorporate that color into the reception. Or do I use complimentary colors for the decor? I'm completely lost. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Dear Nurse Paula,

I'm sure your florist will advise you of this but it would be beautiful to use colors to complement the navy. Jewel tones are beautiful for fall weddings.

I agree with Nancy that your florist will help you choose colors for the reception that will compliment the bridesmaid dresses, so don't stress out. You don't have to use navy in the decor if you don't want to. My advice is to select monochromatic blues in you color palette for a soft, elegant touch. That would help make the color in the bridesmaid dresses pop.

Good luck,
