Help with planning a large rehearsal dinner

All of our guests are invited to our rehearsal dinner (100 - 125 people) since everyone is out of town. The only restaurant options in town is the hotel ballroom to accomodate the size of our group. Unfort. their food is not great, but we dont have any other options. On top of that it's at a typical hotel ballroom and I am trying to think of some ways we could spice things up and make it fun without spending too much $. It will be an October wedding in Madison, WI.

Any ideas? THANKS!Unsure

Only those actually involved in the rehearsal need to be invited to the rehearsal dinner. This should not be a mini reception, especially if it is held the evening before the wedding. You'll have lots to do and you'll need to be well rested. No one expects the bride and groom to host out of town guests so it would probably be best to scale your guest list down and host a more affordable dinner that will be enjoyable.

I agree. If you do what you are considering, it will be the equivalent of planning two receptions. Skip the big rehearsal dinner, keep it intimate and light. Smile
