How to arrange the dances and tosses to make the reception go smoothly

I'm planning a wedding for 3 PM, reception to follow. It is a garden wedding and reception in July but there is a lot of shade and we will have tents. We are serving finger foods and cake. I'm wondering how to arrange the dances and tosses so that the recepton flows smoothy. I know with an early reception less people will dance, so I want to have things in order so people aren't standing around being bored and we can pass a good bit of time by doing the right things. Thanks!

You would still want to follow the same procedure for an outdoor wedding. Do the blessing meal, first dance, father/daughter, cake cutting and toasts and bouquet and garter toss.
