How to choose a reception venue.

My FH and I are on a very small budget, but we still want to be able to have a nice wedding. There will probably only be around 60 guests attending. First, we have to decide between two completely different facilities. The first one is a round building with windows all the way around, which will look beautiful after we put up the white Christmas lights, but they don't allow alcohol. The second venue doesn't have any windows, kind of blah looking, does allow alcohol, but it smells weird. How do I decide which to pick?

Any chance there could be a third option? Have you checked with your local city hall, clubs or some churches to see if these places have rooms to rent? I bet you'd be able to find a good location since you have a small guest list, that doesn't have smells, has some ambiance, but will allow you to have alcohol.

My suggestion is to keep looking.
