Introduction of parents at the reception

How should the parents be introduced at the reception? People say it's up to us (bride and groom), but I don't know what is better - formal Mr. and Mrs. or by first names. Our wedding has been pretty formal so far.

Thanks for all your great advice!!!

Yes, it is up to you. If you are going to introduce them at the reception, then you could have the mc announce 'Mr. and Mrs. Smith, the parents of the bride', or something along those lines.

I agree. That is perfect.
