     Meal choice on response cards

Our response cards included a choice of chicken or beef. One couple replied and selected one of each, but I don't know who selected each m,eal. I have to let the server know who has chicken and who has beef. Since beef is the most popular 5 to 1, I am going to mark the placecard of the individual requesting chicken. The problem arises with this: If I have Mr. and Mrs. Smith, what placecard do I give the chicken? Should I generalize and assume that women like chicken better than beef? By doing this, if the server comes by and offers beef to the one who wanted chicken, then they can say, "oh, I had the chicken, my husband has the beef? What do you suggest?

Dear Guilbaus,

Just let the server know that the couple ordered one of each and the server can ask the couple who gets what.

Best wishes,
