Hello, I will not be having a money dance at my wedding, I feel like it would be bad taste to ask for more cash when guests have already bought gifts, traveled, etc. BUT, I've attended a few weddings with this event planned and I LOVED being able to spend a few personal minutes dancing with the bride or groom and offering my own congratulations. Do you have any advice on how I could swing this at my own wedding without asking for money? I don't want my special day to fly by without having some personal moments with my treasured family and friends. Thank you so much!

Dear Rose,
I agree that the money dance is not appropriate these days. In fact, it is viewed as a major negative. Hopefully the memo will reach everyone soon.
So, why not just ask guests to dance or ask your DJ to state that the couple would like to offer their thanks to all guests and they wish to dance with each of you.
