     Moving reception

We are having a dessert only reception. Due to the inadequate space, we are thinking of moving the recpetion from the church to another location for more seating space. Will this give guest the false impression that we will be serving them a full meal? Or if we do keep the reception at the church, there will not be enough seating space for everyone to be seated - some, if not most, will have to stand or sit at a chair with no table. Any suggestions?

Dear Cissy:

As long as you include an insert that says something along the lines of 'Dessert Reception will follow wedding ceremony...' in with the other enclosures of your invitation, guests will know that they are not receiving a full meal.

If you are sending wedding/reception invitations, you could also mention this on the invitation. It could look like:

Dessert reception to follow...
