     Multi-Room reception planning  

My soon to be bride and I are in the beginning stages of planning our wedding. We are having around 200 guests. The reception will be held at a country club where the largest room holds 130 people or so. There are many other rooms though, a bar/lounge area, another dining room close by also. How do we do a toast? First dance, with the dance floor only able to hold maybe 75 people, those sort of things. We don't want to leave anybody out, but it seams as though we might have to. Thank you for your help. We have found many useful ideas on this site.

You really need to find a place with a room that will hold the number of guests you plan to invite or invite fewer guests. It wouldn't be polite to have a function where dinner will be served and dances will be a focal point and the guests won't all be able to enjoy the events at the same time. Sorry, I'm sure that was not the advice you wanted.

I agree. Focus on those closest to you and consider your budget as well. And, please remember that when you invite guests, you are a host. When you approach your planning in this manner, you are less likely to do something that would be considered impolite.
