     Picnic themed wedding

Ok so I have had to change my wedding plans because the place I reserved fell throughFrown I am getting married 7.7.7. Our guest list only consists of 30 people. My mom is performing the ceremony and the reception is going to be very laid back. Both the ceremony and reception is taking place at a local park overlooking a lake...its really pretty! I was thinking that instead of renting tables each couple would get a picnic basket full of food and a blanket to sit on. Everyone would sit in the same vicinity. There would be a couple of picnic tables for the cake, extra beverages, and the music! I was thinking "A Picnic in the Park" themed wedding. There will be access to the water for the guests to swim if they like...dancing will be huge and the intimacy of 30 people will be nice. My question is does this sound appropriate?

Thanks in Advance :)

Dear Picnicing,

It sounds sweet as long as there are no guests with mobility problems. If so, these people would need a table and chairs. But, with 30 guests, you would know if anyone needed extra assistance.

Best wishes,
