     Question about wedding themes?

I'm not sure if I should do a wedding theme as many of my relatives would not take the wedding as serious as it should is it nesscessary to have a wedding them? If so what is the simple ones that would not be overly indulgent . I notice alot of people go way out but as I said my family is very serious I don't think seashells or reasinaces or fairytales would be a acceptable thing. Is there some sort of a comprimise I could have without the wedding reception look absurd? I have white, blue and creams as my wedding colors so far a theme but I 'm not sure about adding extra colors either. Any advice would be appreciate thankyou much!

Dear Angela,

If you don't have a burning passion to do a theme, don't do one. Many brides just use a color theme and it sounds like you've got a handle on that....carry it through on your flowers, linens, etc.
