     Reception Food

My Mom and fiance both think it is not necessary to have a lot of food at the reception. We are on a tight budget, but they think cake, punch, cookies, and nuts are ok. They both say a wedding is about the ceremony before God not the after party. Will we offend people with hardly any food?

Dear Keeping it Simple,

Thank you for considering your guest's comfort.

It is necessary to provide more food if your reception is held during a typical meal time. So, as long as you are hosting this mid-morning or early afternoon, you're fine.

Enjoy!
