     Seating at the Head Table

Hello!

My fiance and I are having two attendants -- the Best Man and Man of Honour. Both have significant others.

How should the Head Table be properly set up?

1. The Bride, Groom, Best Man and his wife, and the Man of Honour and his partner.

2. The Bride, Groom, Best Man and Man of Honour.

3. Is it perhaps acceptable to sit the Best Man with his wife at one table with his friends, and the same with the Man of Honour and his partner, and have the Bride and Groom sit at a table with their parents?

Thank you!

Normal seating of the head table would have the bride and groom center with the best man next to the bride and the maid of honor next to the groom. Their spouses could be seated with them. It can also be done with the attendants at tables with their friends and family and the bride and groom at a sweetheart table alone. This would be preferred to having the bride and groom sit at a family table.
