Me and my fiance are getting married in Florida in May. We both grew up in New Hampshire and a lot of his family still lives there. We are planning on inviting pretty much everyone but are pretty sure that there are many people who are close to us that will not be able to come because of the location. What would you suggest that we do to include those people? A second reception later? A wedding shower before?
And, if it is a very casual reception after, like in his parents backyard for a bbq, would you suggest wearing my wedding dress again?
Thanks, Bride-to-Be

Dear Florida Wedding,
A reception later may be your best choice because the shower is a gift giving situation (a reception is not) where only the guests of the wedding may be invited. And, if you are sure they cannot attend the wedding, it may appear as if you only want a gift from them.
Most everyone would want to see you in your dress, so feel free to wear it.
