Should we allow tip jar for bartender at home reception
We are hosting our wedding reception at our home. I work for a hotel so we hired one of the bartenders from the hotel to tend bar at our reception. We are paying her. So, do we allow her to put out a tip jar or do we offer her a tip based on the number of guests?
Help....

Hello Riely,
Being a good hostess means you don't ask your guests to pay for anything.
So, if you think the bartender has done an exemplary job, you can certainly offer a tip of your choosing. Tips are not mandatory, so whatever you deem the right amount should be appreciated. However, this is a person with whom you work and you'll be seeing in the future, so take that into consideration when planning her pay.
Have a wonderful wedding and reception. Enjoy the planning process. Top Wedding Questions Forum Moderator - "Write your sorrows in the sand, your blessings in stone".
