Traditions at Post Destination Wedding Reception?

We are having a destination wedding for immed. family only.

That being said, we've had a few folks who will be invited to the reception mention they are sad they aren't going to see us get married. That's made me think...Are there some nice, appropriate traditions that we could do at the reception that would make everyone feel like they are still important to us? We already plan to do a champagne toast and to have a slide show from the wedding.

What about a mini ceremony or exchange of vows?

If you've just been married, it would be odd to see another ceremony or a renewal of vows. After all, what would you be renewing?

I think having a video of the ceremony, or the slideshow you suggested, is a wonderful way of allowing the reception guests to experience your wedding.

I completely agree. Please do not renew your vows as those who do this are viewed as less than socially savvy. The slide show or video playing throughout the event is best.
