My apologies if this has been asked and answered. I searched several different ways without success.
My daughter has sent wedding invitations with enclosed RSVP/menu choice cards. Do we place a menu card at each table, or each place setting, that includes all the menu choices? Or, do we simply place the guest name card at the appropriate place setting and omit the menu card?
We have a lovely menu card with their monogram and wedding date at the top, and a sweet little note ("we are so glad you are here to share this special day with us!") at the bottom. I'd love to use them, but not if it would be inappropriate.
The wedding is a formal affair with a plated dinner.
Thank you for your help.

Re: Using menu cards at the wedding reception

Dear Megan'sMomma,
Menu cards are used at very formal affairs with a card for each or placed between every two diners. As long as the card doesn't appear to be a menu that they can make choices from, meaning that they can choose something different from what they had stated on the RSVP, it should be fine and a very nice formal touch--very proper.
