We had planned a small destination wedding in Vegas and had already pre-paid (non-refundable) for 30 seats at a casino buffet. After talking it over, we decided to invite more of our family and friends. Our guest list is now reaching a possible 75 to 90 guests. I am wondering if this is too big a party to be cordial/accommodating in a public buffet setting. Is a large party at a buffet tacky? Maybe we would have to scrap the whole buffet thing and have dinner in a private room at a restaurant. Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions or experience with this situation. I am very worried on how our guests would feel.
My first suggestion would be to talk to the casino and see if they can accomodate your party in a secluded area or a more private setting than the regular buffet. If that is not possible, you can then begin searching for a restaurant that can accomodate. Nancy Tucker President of Weddings Beautiful US http://www.weddingsbeautiful.com
I agree. And it seems you already know this but, please remember that if you change your plans, you are still expected to pay for their meals if hosted in a restaurant. Rebecca Black, Etiquette Now
