When is it OK for bridesmiad to leave a wedding reception
Im a bridesmaid in a wedding. The ceremony & reception are to be in the same location. The wedding is on a Sunday & it will be a long day. I have to work the next day. I was wondering how early is it acceptable to leave the reception? I think the reception will end at 10pm, not necessarily very late. I will not have a guest with me to keep me "entertained" either & so Im sure Ill prefer leaving early! Im never 100% comfortable at these functions as it is! However, as a bridesmaid, Im not sure if this is seen as rude. I will do my duty and stay as long as it seems necessary. But is there a rule of thumb on this kind of thing? Thank you!

Dear BellaFleur:
You should leave either after the couple leaves, or at the end of the reception. The wedding party doesn't usually leave before the couple. Rhonda Allen, Bridal Consultant New Beginnings Weddings
