When would be a good time to stop serving alcohol at the reception since our reception venue is charging us per bottle and they do not offer draft beer? We are having our cocktail hour at 12 and the reception at 1. We are only serving beer since it's during the early afternoon. Please advise. Thanks.

Dear Prelude,
It really wouldn't be polite to cut people off mid way through the reception. But, you could stop serving around the time the cake is cut. Bring out the non-alcohols then.
This isn't really a time most would expect alcohol though. You really don't have to serve it at all. Coffee, tea, and punch would be fine.
