Where Does the Priest Sit at the Reception

Our parish priest and family friend is officiating at my daughter's wedding. He is coming to the reception. I was going to sit him with some of my friends who he knows very well. But, I was told that he should sit at our table (the brides family table).

What do you think?

That information is correct. The officiant should be placed to the left of the bride's mother and the father of the bride on her right.
