Where should father of the bride's girlfriend sit at the reception

My mother is deceased and my father has a girlfriend. They don't live together and she isn't contributing anything into the wedding, which i don't expect her to. I am thinking it's not the girlfriend place to sit at the top table and represent my mother. I feel the seat should either be left empty or my brother should sit there! Where should the father of the bride's girlfriend sit at the reception?

Dear Lizzy,

They should sit together. So, perhaps you could have a parent's table and not sit parents at the head table. This is very common.

Best wishes,
