centerpiece ideas and pew marker ideas

I am having an early October wedding. I want the atmosphere to be very romantic and soft. My colors are different shades of pinks from light to dark. I think I am set on having light pink (almost white) linens. The tables are round and seat eight people. I would like to do the centerpeices myself but I am having a hard time coming up with ideas. I am having a head table and 2 other tables reserved for the bridal party. I can use my bouquets for those tables. Does anyone have ideas for the other tables? Also, I would like to do the pew markers myself. Any ideas?

WinkSome of the prettiest, easiest centerpieces to do yourself involve floating candles. Look at craft stores for simple clear glass containers...any simple shape you like...Tall cylinders or low round bowls work great. Get some simple long lasting floating candles and put a few flowers under the water or petals around the base....It is so so easy and downright georgeous....as far as pew markers fo My main suggestion is to avoid plastic clips and a lot of hardwear. One very nice way to tie decorations on pews is with bridal netting. It comes in rolls and stretches a bit so is easy to work with and make look tidy and nice. Just double knot it and slop a single bloom in behind the knot...very classy soft and easy. Do a few practice runs to measure out how much netting you need...Then come to the church prepared with pre cut lengths so they will all be the same and it will just take minutes. Let your floral designer know you will be using your bouquets as centerpieces and ask her to provide containers to use for them on the tables. They need to be the right size and have a base that will balance well. Give her that task. Maybe she can find you a nice small pedistal vase that you can use in your home happily ever after as well. My website has pics of floating candle centerpieces in case you want to take a look. All the best and stay happy.BlushBlushBlushBlushBlushSmile
