My daughter and FSIL are planning a non-denominational wedding. They would like to include the wonderful Jewish traditions – from my side of the family - of the hora and chair dance at their reception. I have seen the hora done at non-Jewish weddings, but as many Jewish relatives will be attending, I have a question about the chair dance: would that be inappropriate for a non-Jewish wedding?

Since the couple want to include Judaism's wonderful traditions into their wedding celebration, then enjoy, have the chair dance.
It brings everyone together on the dance floor, dance the hora (circle dance) and in observing the Mitzvot of bringing joy to the bride and groom on their wedding day by lifting them up in chairs.
