Please help, I have a October wedding coming up and have not one clue what to do. I need help with a color combo, that doesn't look to halloweenish. How would pink, red, and maybe a little orange look? the bridesmaids dresses are black so I want to bring all the color in with flowers and decorations. If anyone has any ideas they would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

That seems like an awful lot of colors to me. I think maybe soft yellows and gold tones would complement the black while keeping with the fall theme. Top Wedding Questions Forum Moderator - "Write your sorrows in the sand, your blessings in stone".

Relax about he Halloween thing...Even if you chose to have trick or treating, cheap costumes and the monster mash being played by the D.J. It would still primarily be YOUR WEDDING DAY...Just do everything in a classy way. By all means do take advantage of the georgeous seasonal bounty offered in the fall. Black bridesmaids dresses are wonderful backgrounds for anything. Look at Marisol Flowers website...You can get fall toned bicolor roses that are amazing...all types of gerber daisies, mums and mango colored calla lilies. With that include some od the great textured fillers like caspia, waxflower and solidago...even a touch of wheat or a few perfect and bountiful fruits in the centerpieces like red grapes or little seckle pears would be great....Start looking at seasonal bouquets and decorations and do not fight the season. EMBRACE the fall...Do it better than anyone...Jump in and enjoy...lotsa love to you and all the best... Sue of Hobart's Fine Florals http://www.hobartsfineflorals.com

Don't worry, your wedding will not look like a halloween party. You should get your florist involved with helping you with the decor of the space. One thing that you want to remember is that you can have a colorful atmosphere, without having every color in the rainbow. It sounds to me like you want shades of fun and vibrant colors.
Choosing a monochromatic scheme or colors that are slight variations of one another look best. For a more festive look, pick hues at opposite sides of the color wheel. The colors that you are interested all go together, you just have to make sure to arrange everything in an elegant manner.
For example, you could have various shades of pinks for a romantic feel, with some fun colors to keep the wedding festive. The majority of your decor should be shades of pink, with a splash of red and orange. The red will spice up some of pink's sweetness, and the orange gives pink a nice shot of warmth. This color scheme will tastefully allow you to use all of the colors you want.
