I am the MOG and recently received a note from the MOB as to who she wants invited to the rehearsal dinner. I appreciate the list, however, she has included all musicians and sound technicians and their spouses for a total of 10 extra people. I understand that these people are neither family or close friends. This would really be expensive for us. How can I tactfully tell her that I do not wish to include these people? Or should I just 'bite the bullet?' Bythe way, I am also a pianist and have played at many weddings, I have never been invited to the rehearsal, and wouldn't expect to be as I am a paid participant. Your thoughts on this are very helpful. Thank you

Dear MOG,
She can suggest, but you are the host. So, you set the guest list.
These people are not usually invited; you are correct. You could mention that this would be expensive for you, you weren't planning on inviting them, and you have been visiting this site and find that it is unnecessary to invite them.
