     reception dinner suggestions

My nephew had planned to get married in a parish hall and then have a catered buffet style meal afterwards. Now we have found out that the rules for the hall do not allow marriages to be performed there. They are now getting married at the bride's sister's house a couple of miles down the road. This change in plans has presented several new problemsl

1.We had bought a wedding invitation kit to be printed on the computer. Do you think we can still use the same invitations (they have silver hearts on them) and just word them for a reception only?

2. The caterers were going to serve at 5:30. We had originally thought that we would have the invitation time at 4:30. What time should we start the reception now? (we can schedule the wedding anytime that day)

3. Do we have to have snacks?

4. Should we decorate the hall? We are going to have a wedding cake, so we would decorate around it.

Thanks.
